A construction NVQ is a benchmark qualification that proves your occupational competence to current and future employers. NVQs also benefit employers by helping them to develop and retain a trained, skilled workforce. Some NVQs lead to membership of professional organisations such as the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) as well as Gold or Black CSCS cards.

All Industry Accreditation (IA) CSCS cards issued from 1 January 2020 will expire on 31 December 2024 and can’t be renewed using IA.
Instead, from 1 January 2025, construction workers will need a nationally recognised qualification or professional body membership in order to get a new card. This change will affect around 60,000 people including site managers and assistant site managers.
All NHBC NVQs count as a relevant qualification and CITB is providing extra funding to support those needing to complete a qualification. Qualifications take around 12 months to complete so there’s no time to lose, you need to be starting your qualification soon to meet the 1 January 2025 deadline.

Direct Claim Status
As an NVQ Centre with Direct Claim Status, we have a robust quality assurance system so that you are awarded your NVQ qualification upon completion allowing you to apply for a new CSCS card or gain professional status with CIOB or CABE.

Level 3 NVQ Construction Contracting Operations
Develop and prove you have the necessary skills and knowledge of the technical aspects of construction operations. This NVQ Level 3 in Construction Contracting Operations covers how to operate health, safety, welfare and information systems, develop and maintain working relationships and prepare programmes and schedules of work.
Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Contracting Operations Management
Develop and prove you have the skills needed to be a knowledgeable, qualified construction site manager. This NVQ Level 6 in Construction Contracting Operations Management will cover technical aspects of construction operations and will help progress your development and career.

Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision
Develop and prove you have the skills needed to be a knowledgeable, competent work supervisor. This NVQ Level 3 qualification covers how to plan work activities, co-ordinate and organise work, and maintain good health and safety practices in the workplace.
Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Supervision
Develop and prove you have the skills needed to be a knowledgeable, qualified construction site supervisor for residential development. This NVQ Level 4 qualification includes health and safety, planning, programming, working with others, maintaining good working relationships, customer service and quality control.
Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management
Develop and prove you have the skills needed to be a knowledgeable, qualified construction site manager. This NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management will cover health and safety, site set up, pre-start procedures, environmental considerations, planning, resourcing, quality, customer satisfaction and handover.
Level 7 NVQ Diploma in Construction Senior Management
Develop and prove you have the skills needed to be a knowledgeable, competent senior site manager and gain an industry recognised route to full CIOB member application. This NVQ Level 7 in Construction Senior Management covers all aspects of higher responsibilities that senior managers have to control and will help progress your development and career.

Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Senior Site Inspection
Develop and prove you have the necessary skills and knowledge of the technical and practical day to day aspects of site inspection. This Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Senior Site Inspection covers areas such as monitoring quality, managing progress and handover, verifying health and safety, setting up and managing technical storage systems, and managing interaction with others.
CITB grant funding
From 1 April 2023, CITB is doubling grant rates for specific supervision NVQ Diplomas.
If you’re a CITB Registered employer and up to date with your Levy Returns you may be entitled to claim CITB short duration grant funding for our NVQ diplomas. The funding is for all directly employed staff on the payroll, business owners and partners, and all subcontractors.
ELCAS funded NVQs
The Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELCAS) promotes learning amongst members of the Armed Forces.
We're an approved training provider which means ELCAS funding is available to ex-members of the Armed Services who wish to study for one of our NVQs at Level 3 and above. You can claim the funding in three separate financial years, with the amount available dependent on length of military service.
