What initially attracted you to NHBC, and what has kept you here since joining?

It was my sister who first told me about NHBC. She was already working here and said it was a great place to work with great people. To be honest, the pay is very good and the perks of the job are the best I have ever had. Also, NHBC’s values align with my values and the people are the best. I have made a lot of good friends. 

Can you describe a typical day in your role, and how does NHBC support you in delivering excellent customer service?

A typical day is answering phone calls, which means I get to talk to a lot of great people (our customers). Making sure I deliver the best customer service I can to them to make their journey with NHBC the best it can be is really worthwhile. I also respond to emails and live webchat enquiries, so it can get quite busy which I like. 

How does NHBC promote work-life balance and what are some benefits you enjoy?

I think NHBC promotes a good work life balance. I work from home two days a week with three days in the office which makes a real difference. If you need an extra day at home for something, NHBC is happy to accommodate this, which certainly makes my life a lot easier. 

What advice would you give someone considering a customer service position at NHBC?

If you’re thinking about applying for a job here, I would say definitely do it. NHBC is a great company to work for, they really care about your wellbeing too. Being paid very well is obviously important and the people really make it a great place to work. Also, if you would like to make a career at NHBC, there are plenty of roles in various departments and there is help and support to progress if you choose to do this.
