Our Business Graduate programme, with a starting salary of £27,500 is a fully funded two-year training and development programme. You’ll rotate every six months into new key business areas to learn about the business and gain invaluable experience. We'll give you the tools, resources and support you need to learn and develop every step of the way.
You'll select your preferred business area at the time of application, choose from Standards, Innovation and Research, Underwriting, Claims, Business Support & Improvement, Customer Services or Corporate Strategy & Insights. More details about each area can be found in the videos below.
1. Onboarding and induction
September 2025: You will complete our core Graduate Induction Programme.
2. Rotational placements
October 2025 - September 2027: You will complete 4-6 month rotations starting in our Claims team, receiving full training before rotating across other business areas learning about the wider functions and key relationships in and outside of NHBC. Homeowners are at the very heart of what we do, so learning about how we support them in the event of a claim is key experience to gain early on.
3. Offboarding
October 2027: Start your new role in one of the six business function areas highlighted in the application.
4. Continuous development
Once you've joined your chosen business function you will continue to develop your skills via a sponsored professional qualification, appropriate to your new role.
Entry requirements
The NHBC Business Graduate programme is open to all graduates with a relevant degree who are available to start in September 2025. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and encourage diversity in our programme.
Where you'll be based
Our head office is based in Milton Keynes so you'll need to be able to commute here. If the placement you’re on can support it, there may be a chance to work from home for some of your time.
