NHBC colleagues win big at Women Leaders UK awards

NHBC is proud to be the headline sponsor of the Women Leaders UK awards and shares their drive to promote the achievements of women, especially in industries where they are currently under-represented.
Businesses from across Milton Keynes came together at the annual celebration of the remarkable women living or working in the area to recognise wonderful role models from all sectors.
After being nominated in 2023, Yvonne Patsanza, Senior Building Inspector at NHBC won the Manufacturing and Construction award for 2024.
Yvonne said: “Just to be chosen as a finalist was an honour but then to go on and win in the Manufacturing and Construction category was surreal. My relentless drive for being a part of something that is bigger than me has got me part of the way of where I am today. The rest of the way was paved for me by the people who have been my advocates and allies when I needed them the most. Way too many to mention, I thank them all and hope they will join me in celebrating this success.”
Michelle Lewis, Head of Operational Risk won the ‘Wild Card’ award, a special award that does not fit into the usual categories, for impacting lives.
She said: “I am extremely proud to have been shortlisted as a finalist at this year’s awards, with the cherry on the cake being winning my category! It was also fantastic to be part of celebrating how many strong and inspirational women there are that work or live in Milton Keynes, including at NHBC. A huge thank you to all those that nominated and please look to nominate others for the 2025 awards!”
