Hull Training Hub

A training hub in the South Yorkshire and Humber area for bricklaying and groundworker apprenticeships

Our fourth training hub is in Bransholme, Hull to support the next generation of skilled house builders in the South Yorkshire and Humber area. Around 50 apprentices will be accepted each year, in three cohorts.

The training hub will provide hands-on training in a site-like environment where a dedicated tutor/assessor will teach apprentices their core skills as well as how to build to the NHBC Standards. All of our training hubs reflect the preferred styles of construction in their local areas.

An apprenticeship is for everyone and we have people from all backgrounds, including school leavers, career changers and women wanting to work in construction, on our programmes.

Flexi-job apprenticeship service

We have also partnered with EN:Able Futures to offer a flexi-job apprenticeship option at our Hull Training Hub, perfect for smaller employers for whom an 18 month commitment may be unattractive. Talk to us about this option where EN:Able Futures employs the apprentice and works with local employers to find placements to enable the apprentice to complete the programme.

Groundworker apprenticeship

Groundworkers are the first trades on any construction site and their work is fundamental to preparing the site for new homes to be built. This Level 2 accelerated apprenticeship will typically take 18 months to complete. Apprentices will split their time between blocks of training at our unique training hubs (initially at Tamworth) alongside onsite delivery with their employer.
