Moving in
We've created some quick guides on the extra things you'll need to consider when you've just bought a new-build home.

Excited to be in your home?
We know that moving home is a busy time for anyone. And when you’ve just bought a brand new home, there are a few extra things to consider on top of unpacking boxes. To help, we’ve produced some handy information and booklets for your new home with tips on how to get the most from your home as you settle in and also information on your Buildmark policy and insurance certificate.
Your buildmark policy documents

If you are the first owner of the home
You should receive your NHBC insurance certificate and Buildmark policy booklet from your conveyancer before you move in.
If you don't receive them within 4 weeks of moving into your new home, please contact your conveyancer.

If you are not the first owner of the home
If you have bought a home that still has the benefit of Buildmark cover, your conveyancer should obtain the documents from the previous owners.
If you don't receive the documents, or you are not sure if your home is covered, please contact our Customer Services Team on 0344 633 1000 or fill in the form below.
