Buildmark Choice is our product for landlords and long leaseholders of newly built or newly converted homes for social rental, private rental or shared ownership.
What is Buildmark Choice?
Buildmark Choice is for NHBC registered builders and owners of newly built or newly converted rental properties (owners to include freeholders, long leaseholders and owners of shared ownership properties) constructed by an NHBC registered builder.

- A minimum claim value (MCV) - if the cost of a claim exceeds the MCV, we will do the work or pay the cost in full and the homeowner will not have to make any contribution.
- Loss of rent cover and alternative accommodation.
- Policy transfer in the event of sale.
- Contaminated land cover.
- Dedicated customer relationship team throughout the build process.
- Option to apply for extended cover for an additional 2 years, insolvency cover (up to 10% of the contract price) and professional fees (up to 10% of the liability limit for the scheme or £50,000 - whichever is less).
