Code for Sustainable Homes 2006

Launched in December 2006, the Code for Sustainable Homes called for a step change in the way new homes are designed and constructed, and introduced a 1 to 6 star rating system to communicate their overall sustainability performance.

This NHBC Foundation guide distils the experience gained from a large number of Code assessments and advises designers and builders on a strategic way through. It highlights the interaction between the various issues and suggests how they can be addressed in the most practical and cost-effective ways. Throughout, it includes a variety of key points and other useful information.
