What does your current role involve?
My current role involves reviewing engineering proposals from builders who are using NHBC’s warranty products or building control services.
What does a typical day look like for you?
My typical day involves reviewing technical information for a range of sites across my allocated area. I speak with our builder customers and to NHBC’s Building Inspectors and support them with any site queries.
What’s your favourite part of the day?
My favourite part of the day is looking back, realising what has been achieved and seeing that you can make a big difference.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy the variety and fast pace of work. I am always looking at different sites and different technical problems.
What career opportunities have you had whilst with NHBC?
I have had lots of training whilst working at NHBC. I feel like I have really been able to progress my career and develop as an engineer.
What would you like someone who’s interested in applying for a job here to know?
Working at NHBC is the best job I’ve ever had. It‘s a great place to work and if you have the right attitude and work ethic you can go far.
